Educator Resources

Domestic Violence Network is here for you, please use us as a resource. We have a six day (seventh day optional) healthy relationship program we can bring to your school or classroom, and are open to modifying as necessary. This free program focuses on kindness, shared values, the protective factors of healthy relationships, warning signs of unhealthy and abusive relationships, emotional intelligence, empathy, consent, inclusivity, identity, intersectionality, advocacy, allyship, and empowerment. Stay tuned for an updated outline of the program.

If you are not able to have us visit your school, but you would still like to learn more, the resources below will help you. We are all in this together, and we want to support you and your students as much as possible. Please do not hesitate to DVN as a resource. Thank you for everything you do for the youth in our community. We are inspired by you daily.

If you have questions along the way, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Title IX

TITLE IX APPLIES TO ALL SCHOOLS THAT RECEIVE FEDERAL FUNDING: K-12, COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

Title IX is the law that requires institutions to respond to intimate partner violence, sexual violence or stalking that:

  • takes place on campus;
  • is connected to school programs; or
  • is perpetuated by anyone affiliated with the school

Although Title IX applies only on campus and during school activities, it is essential to note that off-campus misconduct matters as much as misconduct that occurs on campus, whether it takes place down the street, online, or overseas.

Title IX applies to Students, Faculty, Staff, Subcontractors, Vendors, Guests, and Visitors.

Please visit our Title IX page to learn more.
